Held at the Victoria University of Wellington, Wellington Model House of Representatives (WMHoR) 2022 offers volunteer opportunities for tertiary students (or post-high school students under 25) to get rangatahi engaged with New Zealand's political operations. If you are interested in leading the charge with civics education, this could be for you! You will be helping students become Members of Parliament for a day and simulate a parliamentary session. There is a volunteering opportunity for everyone, no matter what your strengths are. We are currently looking for

Volunteering at WMHoR is an activity in which tertiary students can engage with and give back to the Wellington region and see tangible benefits from their involvement, both for themselves and for the delegates. While in a supporting role, volunteers are exposed to the same content as delegates and thus expand their knowledge about global citizenship and issues. The volunteering experience gained from WMUN is useful for professional development and looks great on the CV! Everyone is encouraged to apply and you DO NOT need any previous experience! It will be a great chance to meet and network with other like minded, awesome young people, make new friends, and guide high schoolers into the next chapter of their lives.

This one-day event will take place on Saturday, 1st October, at Kelburn Campus, Victoria University of Wellington, and is open to all High School students.
