About the Event


WMSC will provide an engaging platform for students to immerse themselves in the proceedings and intricacies of the United Nations Security Council. This event is designed for both experienced Model UN delegates and newcomers who wish to learn more about international diplomacy and the role of the Security Council in promoting global peace and security.


The overall theme of the day will be UN+Certain which connects to the nature and intent of the Security Council being of certainty and stability. The issue of security and stability is one that is very relevant in today's world. We have seen numerous instances of unrest, conflict, and insecurity across the globe. It is vital for us to understand the importance of ensuring certain and stable conditions for the people of the world.


The event will span over one day and will include a variety of activities, such as an IPS workshop and a mock Security Council session Participants will work together to debate and amend a Security Council resolution aimed at resolving the Cold War conflict and ensuring peace and stability in the region.
