Introducing Wellington Model United Nations 2022! Our flagship regional event is back and brings with it two days of thrilling debate on the international stage. Grapple with world issues as a member state of the United Nations General Assembly, and participate in interactive workshops and activities.

This year we will be discussing a range of topics relevant to the geopolitical instability currently rocking Europe and the world. This event will broaden delegates’ knowledge of international issues and strengthen their critical thinking, communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.

Volunteering at WMUN is an activity in which tertiary students can engage with and give back to the Tāmaki Makaurau region and see tangible benefits from their involvement, both for themselves and for the delegates. While in a supporting role, volunteers are exposed to the same content as delegates and thus expand their knowledge about global citizenship and issues. The volunteering experience gained from AMUN is useful for professional development and looks great on the CV! Everyone is encouraged to apply and you DO NOT need any previous experience! It will be a great chance to meet and network with other like minded, awesome young people, make new friends, and guide high schoolers into the next chapter of their lives.

Registrations will close at 11:59pm, July 29th. Make sure to get your application quickly so you don’t miss out on this incredible event!

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to email the WMUN Co-ordinator, Myles at [email protected]
