Are you a passionate, opinionated individual wanting to develop public speaking, debating and leadership skills in a fun environment? Then this is the event for you. UN Youth’s 2023 Wellington Model United Nations (WMUN) is an experience not to be missed. Taking place over the weekend of the 25th and 26th of March 2023, delegates will have the opportunity to participate in skill building workshops, create long lasting friendships and debate about topical global issues representing a member state in the Model United Nations general assembly.
The theme of this year's event is UN+Established - it’s all about breaking down old ideas, establishing new ones and tackling new world problems. Delegates will broaden their views on different types of policy and topic, and develop the interpersonal skills of delegates in terms of encouraging co-operation and meaningful debate through engaging resolutions.
Registrations open for delegates and conference assistants on 9th February 2023 and will close at 11.59PM on the 5th March 2023. Get your applications in quickly so you don’t miss out on this incredible experience!
Delegate applications are open to all high school students. As a delegate you’ll represent a member state and debate world issues while negotiating with other perspectives to reach your final goal. You will also participate in workshops to develop critical thinking, and participate in a general assembly.
