ABOUT THE EVENT
Are you ready to lead and create unforgettable experiences? We're looking for a passionate Coordinator to drive the Wellington Competitive Model United Nations Committee (CompMUN) in 2026!
What is CompMUN? Competitive Model UN, or CompMUN for short, is a dynamic event still in its infancy that takes the standard Model UN format and improves upon it by injecting adjudicated debate and competitive elements. Delegates will still amend resolutions and debate, but now will be judged on the quality of their amendments and speeches, and will have the opportunity to submit position papers to show off the depth of their research. The strengths and weaknesses of their performances will be judged by a team of talented adjudicators, who will evaluate the delegates and provide feedback to help them improve.
This is only the second year we’ve ever done CompMUN, and it will be the first year with a committee organising and running it. So why not apply to coordinate that inaugural committee and help make this event bigger and better than before!
Your Mission:
General Oversight: You'll ensure the seamless execution of every aspect of the event.
Lead Committee Meetings: Organise and lead our dynamic committee meetings with enthusiasm.
Versatile Support: Be ready to assist with various event-related tasks, big or small.
Why You Should Apply:
Leadership Skills: You're a natural leader who can motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent Communication: Your communication skills ensure clarity and unity among team members.
Event Passion: You have a passion for event management and enjoy creating memorable experiences.
No Experience Necessary! We offer ample resources and support, including guidance from an experienced council liaison during committee meetings.
