OVERVIEW
UN Youth’s Auckland Regional Council is looking for volunteers for the 2021 Auckland Tertiary Case Competition.
Auckland Tertiary Case Competition will involve teams competing to design and present the best solution to a chosen “case” - a pressing international issue. The event will allow tertiary students to see the world from a new perspective and create an innovative plan with real-life feasibility and impact. We hope that participants will develop a tangible desire to make the world a better place and learn the skills to help them do it. ‘
While it is labelled as a case competition, the event is significantly different to other business-focused case competitions operated by other university clubs. The committee will have the discretion to reconsider whether this is the best branding for the competition.
Being on the organising committee will be a rewarding experience for tertiary students to learn leadership and organisational skills in a team environment. You will work with passionate and like-minded volunteers while developing a conference focussing on civics education and networking.
The event is expected to be held in August 2021. The vision for this event is undecided and it will be up to the committee to set in consultation and approval by the Auckland Regional Council.
If you are interested, please read the application pack for more information and make sure to apply by 11:59 PM Friday 14th May!
