UN Youth Auckland’s fan-favourite high school event is back for two exciting days of engaging debates about critical issues facing the Asia-Pacific region. Join us on 24 May (Years 11-13) and 25 May (Years 7-10) at the University of Auckland for an unforgettable experience!
MAP aims to amplify Asia-Pacific voices through youth-led dialogue, inspiring delegates to feel more connected and informed about the regions critical issues. MAP offers students the chance to step into the shoes of diplomats and leaders as they tackle key issues facing the Asia-Pacific region. This immersive experience allows students to explore and understand diverse perspectives, work together to create solutions for global problems, and enhance the presence of the Asia-Pacific region on an international level.
This year, our issues range from climate change, economic development, human rights and regional security, providing a dynamic platform for students to engage in critical thinking, public speaking, and diplomacy. Alongside engaging with peers from diverse backgrounds, students will gain a broader understanding while sharing their own experiences when discussing topical issues impacting this region.
Through MAP, students will build valuable connections with like-minded peers and contribute to meaningful social and environmental change across Auckland. By fostering understanding and collaboration, we are building an Asia-Pacific future where everyone can enjoy their rights and thrive!
