UN Youth Aotearoa New Zealand is proud to present Vision 2035 — our bold, future-focused strategy to empower rangatahi and transform the landscape of youth development in Aotearoa.
By 2035, we envision 10,000 young people actively participating and growing through our programmes every year. These rangatahi will reflect the full diversity of Aotearoa and be equipped as confident, connected global citizens making meaningful change in their communities.

1. Quality Youth Development
We deliver innovative and inclusive educational experiences tailored to diverse learning styles and cultural contexts. Our events empower rangatahi to lead change in their local, national, and global communities.
2. Community Impact
We foster an open, accessible environment that celebrates rangatahi voices and amplifies youth-led change. Honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi, we build strong, values-based relationships with iwi, hapū, and other partners.
3. One Organisation
We’re building a resilient, sustainable organisation with future-proofed governance, environmentally responsible operations, and a strong digital infrastructure to support our growth.
4. Volunteer Development
Our volunteers are the heart of UN Youth. Through tailored training, recognition frameworks, and inclusive policies, we empower our people to lead, grow, and make a lasting impact.
