About the Event
Want to explore the world of diplomacy and what it would be like to be a diplomat? Let's Negotiate will be a chance to brush up on your negotiation, cooperation and communication skills through engaging workshops, some of which will be based on actual events. These kinds of skills are all very useful - whether you're trying to convince your parents to extend your curfew or become a greater asset to your debating team.
Come along to this inaugural event on Saturday, 14th August at the University of Canterbury
The idea of this event is to explore the role of diplomats and diplomacy. It will be a series of workshops aimed at exploring the functions of a diplomatic mission as described in Article 3 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961. Through these workshops, participants will explore how diplomacy practically occurs in the real world while developing negotiating skills.
