Wellington Model United Nations is back for 2021!
Calling all visionaries! After a year of global events such as COVID-19 lockdowns, national elections, and climate change emergencies, this year’s regional Model United Nations event is not to be missed!
The Wellington Model United Nations is a two-day event to be held on the 27th - 28th March 2021. You will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, make great friendships, and debate about current global issues as a member state of the United Nations General Assembly!
This year’s event ‘UN+Explored’ will be focussing on the development of delegates' creative and innovative solutions to global issues. Through different committees, delegates will be discussing issues such as the COVID-19 Pandemic and sharing of false information, the ethical development of Artificial Intelligence, climate change, and international interventions on humanitarian crises.
Registrations are now open for delegates and conference assistants and will close at 11.59pm on Monday 8th March. Get your application in now so you don’t miss out!

This registration submission authorises UN Youth New Zealand the right to capture my image and likeness in photos, videos and other media footage (“footage”). Additionally, it authorises UN Youth New Zealand the right to edit, publish and distribute any and all footage of me without any compensation to be used for any lawful purpose (e.g. creating promotional material).This registration submission authorises UN Youth New Zealand the right to collect, store and use any and all demographic information of me to be used for any lawful purpose (e.g. tracking who our organisation is reaching). This demographic information will not be individually identifiable. The foregoing authorisations shall continue indefinitely unless I otherwise revoke them in writing to privacy@unyouth.org.nz.
